The WiSA SoundSend is tiny, which makes it incredibly easy to hide. Most people unpack the little audio puck, plug it into their TV, and tuck it neatly into their media cabinet right next to their internet router.
While it looks neat, this setup creates a massive wireless traffic jam. Just like its larger sibling, the Cinema Hub, the WiSA SoundSend must be placed at least 3 meters (10 feet) away from any Wi-Fi router or mesh internet access point.
The Tech Conflict Explained
The SoundSend transmits uncompressed, pristine 24-bit audio to your Lithe Audio Pro Series or iO1 speakers using a dedicated 5GHz wireless highway. If your internet router is sitting right next to it, the router’s massive data broadcasting completely overwhelms the SoundSend. It’s the electronic equivalent of trying to have a whisper-quiet conversation while standing next to a roaring jet engine.
The result? Random speaker dropouts, a subwoofer that suddenly goes silent, or an app that refuses to sync.
Simple Fixes for Clean Sound
Separate the Hardware: Move your internet router to a different shelf or a different side of the room. If that isn't possible, use a longer, high-quality HDMI cable to position the SoundSend puck away from the router.
The "Out of Sight" Trap: It’s fine to hide the SoundSend behind your TV or inside a wooden cabinet, but never place your internet router directly between the SoundSend and your speakers. A router sitting in the direct line of sight will completely scramble the audio beam trying to reach your Lithe Audio speakers.
