What is Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast™?

Our latest ceiling speaker range features advanced Bluetooth 5.4, including LE Audio and Auracast™ broadcast audio technology. This is a major improvement over previous Bluetooth standards, delivering longer range, better audio quality, and new multi-device listening capabilities.

Key Benefits of Bluetooth 5.4

Extended Wireless Range

Bluetooth 5.4 increases the standard wireless connection range up to 30 metres, providing a more stable and reliable connection throughout your home or commercial space.

What is Auracast™?

Auracast™ is a new Bluetooth broadcast technology that enables one-to-many audio streaming.

Instead of connecting to a single device, one speaker can broadcast audio to:

  • Multiple compatible speakers
  • Headphones
  • Earbuds
  • Compatible hearing aids

This allows multiple users and devices to listen to the same audio stream simultaneously.

Auracast™ Broadcast Range

When using Auracast™ broadcasting, the transmission range can extend up to 100 metres in suitable environments.

This makes it ideal for:

  • Whole-home audio
  • Open-plan spaces
  • Retail stores
  • Restaurants
  • Hospitality venues
  • Assistive listening applications

LE Audio Advantages

Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) Audio provides:

  • Improved sound quality
  • Lower power consumption
  • More stable wireless performance
  • Reduced latency
  • Better efficiency compared to older Bluetooth versions

Device Compatibility

To access the full:

  • 30m Bluetooth range
  • Auracast™ broadcasting features
  • LE Audio benefits

your source device (such as a phone, tablet, or TV) should support Bluetooth 5.4 and LE Audio.

However, the speakers are fully backward compatible, meaning older Bluetooth devices can still connect and play audio using standard Bluetooth functionality.
