What are the different Treble options for IO1

What are the different Treble options for IO1

The Treble functions within the IO1 enable you to precisely tune the speaker to your listening taste with pin point accuracy. Below is a brief explanation as to which frequency impacts your music type:

LOW - 2kHz:

Speech intelligibility: The 2kHz range is important for clear and articulate speech. Many consonant sounds, such as "s," "sh," and "t," have energy concentrated around 2kHz, making it crucial for understanding spoken words.

Acoustic guitars: The plucking or strumming of acoustic guitars produces harmonics that often contain prominent frequencies around 2kHz. This contributes to the brightness and presence of the guitar sound.

TIP: Ideal for Acoustic, Folk and pod cast listening

MID - 4kHz:

Snare drums: The attack and crispness of snare drums often have energy in the 4kHz range. Boosting this frequency can enhance the definition and sharpness of the snare drum sound.

Vocals: In some singing styles, particularly rock or pop, vocal presence and clarity can be enhanced by emphasising frequencies around 4kHz. This can make the vocals stand out in a mix and cut through other instruments.

TIP: Ideal for POP, Rock, Funk, Disco & R&B listening

HIGH - 6kHz:

Cymbals: The shimmer and brilliance of cymbals, such as hi-hats or ride cymbals, contain frequencies in the 6kHz range. Boosting this frequency can bring out the crispness and detail in cymbal sounds.

Percussion instruments: Various percussion instruments, such as tambourines, triangles, or bells, generate overtones and harmonics that often fall around 6kHz. This contributes to their bright and sparkling characteristics.

TIP: Ideal for Electronic, Dance, Jazz listening

NOTE: It's important to note that these examples are generalisations, and the presence of specific audio sounds within frequency ranges can vary depending on the source material, recording techniques, and other factors.

ADJUSTING PITCH

Pitch refers to how high or low a sound is perceived to be. It is the quality of sound that allows us to distinguish between a low note and a high note. When you hear someone sing or play a musical instrument, the pitch is what gives you a sense of whether the sound is high or low.

Pitch is an essential element in music. Different musical notes are associated with specific pitches, and arranging these notes in a particular sequence creates melodies and harmonies. By changing the pitch of sounds, we can create different musical effects, convey emotions, and add variety to our auditory experiences.

NOTE: By adjusting the Pitch of each particular frequency range LOW, MED, HIGH in the (+) range will increase the loudness, and moving (–) shall decrease loudness this particular frequency range.
