Setup Guide for WiSA SoundSend & Lithe Audio

The WiSA SoundSend is a tiny, hockey-puck-shaped device that sits behind your TV. It captures your TV's audio and beams it wirelessly to your speakers. No speaker wires, no clutter, and no massive AV receiver required.

Step 1: Prepare Your Speakers for WiSA Mode

Before touching your TV or the SoundSend, you need to turn on the wireless WiSA capabilities on your speakers.

  • For Pro Series In-Ceiling Speakers:

    1. Securely insert the small WiSA Bolt-On Module into the back of the speaker.

    2. Turn on the power to the speaker.

    3. Press and hold the speaker's Reset Button for 1 second.

    4. The speaker's LED light will turn purple, and you will hear an audio chime. This chime confirms the speaker has successfully switched into WiSA mode and is actively looking for a transmitter. Please note that if you do not hear a chime continue to press the button for 1s and ensure you hear a chime.

  • For iO1 Indoor/Outdoor Speakers:

    1. The iO1 speaker has its WiSA module built right inside the housing. Power the speaker on.

    2. Locate the physical button on the back of the speaker explicitly labeled PAIR.

    3. Press this button. The speaker will emit the audio chime and its LED indicator will switch to purple, signaling it is ready to be scanned by the receiver.

Step 2: Connect the SoundSend Hardware

  1. Plug the included USB-C power cable into the SoundSend and connect it to a wall outlet.

  2. Find the port on the back of your TV labeled HDMI eARC or HDMI ARC. (Do not use a standard HDMI port—it must say ARC or eARC).

  3. Connect the ultra-high-speed HDMI cable(2.1) from that TV port directly into the SoundSend.

Step 3: Configure Your TV Settings

Your TV needs to be told to send sound out through the HDMI cable instead of using its built-in speakers.

  1. Open your TV's Settings menu.

  2. Go to Audio or Sound Output settings.

  3. Change the output from "Internal Speakers" to HDMI ARC or Receiver.

  4. Find the Digital Audio Format setting (sometimes under "Expert Settings") and change it from "PCM" to Pass-through or Auto. This ensures formats like Dolby Atmos pass through properly.

Step 4: The App Setup & Room Mapping

  1. Download the WiSA App on your iPhone or Android device.

  2. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and launch the app. (The app uses Bluetooth to discover the puck, but the puck uses a dedicated wireless band to talk to the speakers).

  3. Once the app detects your SoundSend, in the settings, tap Scan For Speakers. The SoundSend will scan the room and automatically pull in your chiming, purple-LED Lithe Audio speakers.

  4. Once the wireless connection locks in, the purple LEDs on your speakers will turn solid.

  5. Inside the app, you will see a visual map of a living room. Tap a speaker icon on your screen—the corresponding physical speaker in your room will make a brief chirp. Drag and drop that icon to its true location (e.g., Front Left, Surround Right, or Subwoofer). Tap Save, and your system is ready!
