Cinema Hub Disappearing from AirPlay or Showing Offline
If your Cinema Hub keeps disappearing from the Apple AirPlay menu, or appears as:
“Offline”
inside the Google Home app, this usually indicates the Hub has lost its network connection.
This can cause issues such as:
-
AirPlay not appearing
-
Music streaming failures
-
Roon connection problems
-
TIDAL Connect interruptions
-
Devices randomly disconnecting
Check the Front Wi-Fi LED
The front Wi-Fi LED acts as the primary network status indicator.
Slow Flashing Wi-Fi LED
If the Wi-Fi LED is flashing slowly, the Cinema Hub has lost connection to your router or wireless network.
Common Cause
Wireless performance can be affected if the Cinema Hub is:
-
Installed inside a metal AV rack
-
Positioned behind cabinets
-
Surrounded by other wireless devices
-
Located far from the router
-
Experiencing Wi-Fi interference
Metal enclosures and crowded AV installations can weaken the internal Wi-Fi antennas and cause unstable connectivity.
Recommended Solution – Use a Wired Ethernet Connection
For the most stable and reliable performance, we recommend using a direct wired network connection.
How to Connect
Connect a shielded Cat6 Ethernet cable from:
-
Your router or network switch
to
-
The Cinema Hub LAN port
Once connected:
-
The Hub will automatically switch to the wired connection
-
The internal Wi-Fi will deactivate automatically
Benefits of a Wired Connection
Using Ethernet provides:
-
More stable streaming
-
Improved AirPlay reliability
-
Better Roon performance
-
Reliable TIDAL Connect playback
-
Reduced dropouts and disconnects
-
Lower network interference
This is especially recommended for custom AV installations and rack-mounted systems.
Final Step – Reconnect the Hub
After restoring the network connection:
-
Allow the Cinema Hub to reconnect to the network
-
Reopen the Apple AirPlay menu or Google Home app
-
The Cinema Hub should now appear online and function normally
Helpful Tips
-
Restart the router if the Hub still does not reconnect
-
Avoid placing the Hub directly beside other wireless transmitters
-
Ensure your network supports stable 2.4GHz/5GHz coverage if using Wi-Fi
-
Wired Ethernet is always preferred for permanent installations
