How to setup a DHCP static IP address for a Wi-Fi speaker

If for any reason the speaker is dropping from the network this may be due to the DHCP IP address.

The DHCP will allocate an IP address to the speaker in order to communicate with the network. The IP address is only valid for a period of time before it changes, this may cause the speaker to drop out.

If a static IP address is allocated to the speaker this will never drop from the network, this can either be done through the network router or through the backend of the speaker. We suggest this is done through the speaker rather than the network router.

How to apply this setting

1. Access the backend of the speaker.
This can be done by inputting the speaker's IP address into a browser. The IP address of the speaker can be found within the Lithe Audio APP under speaker settings.

2. Within the backend the speaker will show a tick box Static IP ON/OFF. Once selected the correct info will need to be input, IP address, Net Mask, Gateway and primary/secondary DNS. This can be found on the router or through a PC command prompt page. The command is ipconfig

Once the Static IP has been set up correctly the IP address of the speaker will not be removed from the DHCP and will remain unless manually removed.
