How to Install and Setup IO1

Installing the IO1

To setup the IO1, you shall need the power supply (included) and a mobile device to setup the speaker.

You may also have other connections to add to the speaker as well to the speaker, which we will go through below such as passive, ethernet and optical :

If you would like more detail on which ports are on the IO1 so you know what to connect to then please check this article: Insert link to 'IO1 ports explained'

First we need remove the rear cable enclosure to feed the required cables in and securely fit them in so the speaker is fully waterproof

  1. Remove the 4 screws to take off the rear enclosure so we can connect the required cables into the speaker.
  2. The metal plate has another 3 screws which you will need to remove. This metal plate adds pressure to the gasket ensuring the cables are secured.
  3. Remove the rubber gasket and feed the cables through the holes and fit into the ports securely.
  4. Refit the rear cover back on using the 4 screws- Make sure the lip is in right place as there is an indent on the speaker to match the Lip on the cover. This is a must to ensure your speaker is IPX6 rated.
  5. Push the rubber gaskets around the cables and into the insert on the rear enclosure
  6. Refit the metal plate back using the 3 screws, push firmly in place and tighten to ensure the seal is water tight.
  7. Important : Where necessary use the rubber bungs to fill any unused cable holes, if not the water shall get inside the product.
Your IO1 is all wired and ready to setup.

Please refer to the mounting method article for to understand how the Mount is setup: 'IO1 mounting methods'
