How should I connect my Lithe Audio speaker to my TV?

How should I connect my Lithe Audio speaker to my TV?

In this article, we will explain what is the best way to connect to a TV using our Lithe Audio speaker. We understand this will depend on what version of speaker you have.

Lithe Audio Bluetooth Speaker

There are a couple of ways to connect to a TV with the Bluetooth version which we will explain.

RCARCA is a hardwired connection from the TV to the speaker, the speaker has an RCA input on the side of the speaker (red & white inputs)
Please note with this connection you may not get volume control on the TV remote, this will differ for each TV make/model.

3.5mm Jack: The 3.5mm jack input Green (AUX) is normally used for the Lithe Link connection, if you only have a pair setup then the 3.5mm jack input can be used to connect to a TV.
Using a hardwired connection AUX cable from the TV to the speaker 3.5mm jack input, would allow the TV audio to come from the speaker. This setup will allow you to have volume adjustment with the TV remote. Please note this may differ depending on the make and model of the TV.

Bluetooth: If your TV has built-in Bluetooth you will be able to connect the speaker wirelessly. Please note if the TV's doesn't have aptX there may be a delay in the audio. If the TV does have aptX and there is still a delay then this will be down to the TV Bluetooth chip model not being able to communicate correctly with the speaker. If for any reason this were to happen we would always suggest (if possible) running a cable from the TV to the speaker when installing the speaker.

Lithe Audio Wi-Fi Speaker

There is only one way to connect to the Wi-Fi model and that is with a hardwired connection.

RCA:  RCA is a hardwired connection from the TV to the speaker, the speaker has an RCA input on the side of the speaker (red & white inputs)
Please note with this connection you may not get volume control on the TV remote, this will differ from each TV model.

Lithe Audio Wi-Fi Pro Speaker

The Wi-Fi Pro model has a number of connections for the TV which we will explain.

Optical IN: The Optical in has replaced the Wi-Fi models RCA for an easier connection as most newer TV's don't have RCA (phone) it also provides greater audio quality as Optical is Digital. Please be aware that if you connect directly to the TV via the Optical IN you will not have audio adjustment via the TV remote. This is because there is no way for the optical to control it The optical output of the TV is fixed level so the TV remote cannot control it. The only way to control the volume of the speaker would be through the Lithe Audio APP from there you will be able to adjust the volume of the speaker.

WiSA: The WiSA Bolt-on and SoundSend Transmitter (sold separately) will allow you to have a wireless connection from the speaker (s) to the TV. You shall need to plug in the SoundSend Transmitter into the TV's HDMI ARC port, this shall then detect the speaker when you press the press the reset button on the face of the speaker for 3 seconds.
Once done they will be paired and setup within the WiSA app. The WiSA speakers shall produce  Dolby Atmos HD sound, it will also allow volume control from the TV remote.
